Cheerleading
Our cheerleaders add an extra level of excitement to gamedays. Available to girls in 1st-3rd grade, CUMC Upward cheerleading includes: a complete uniform for each cheerleader (jersey, skort, turtleneck, pom-poms, megaphone, and more), NBA-style starting lineups, the chance to cheer with their friends, instruction in chants and pom-pom routines (no pyramids, tumbling or stunts), back-to-back practice hour/game hour in a Saturday-only schedule (yes, no weeknight events for cheer squads!), devotion time at each practice, an end-of-season ceremony, and much more. Each cheerleader earns one of the star awards below at the end of each game. Cheerleaders place these on their megaphone as a reminder of all they’ve accomplished in our eight-week season.
